Game Day Guide – Round 19

The Norwood Football Club will look to end the minor round season on a high as we face Adelaide in Round 19 of the SANFL Statewide Super League.

Here is all the information you need to know.

When: Saturday, September 4 – Norwood v Adelaide

Gates open: 9:15am

What are the latest Covid restrictions?

MASKS

  • Masks must be worn when entering / exiting the venue.
  • Masks must be worn when moving.
  • Masks are not compulsory if you are sitting or standing stationary while viewing the game.
  • Masks are not compulsory while consuming food / beverages.

FOOD & BEVERAGE CONSUMPTION

  • Standing consumption permitted of snack food and non-alcoholic beverages (outdoors)
  • Seated consumption of all food and drink (indoors)
  • Seated consumption of alcoholic beverages (outdoors)

We recommend you bring your own deck chair if you intend to consume alcoholic beverages outdoors!

QR CODE

  • To adhere to COVID contact tracing requirements, everyone will need to ‘check in’ with our QR Code or written register. We will have QR codes available to scan at all gates.
  • Once inside the venue we ask that you adhere to social distancing of 1.5 metres and apply good hygiene protocols.

Game Times:

  • (Game 1/Reserves – Norwood FC vs Glenelg First Bounce 10:00 am)
  • (Game 2/League – Norwood FC vs Adelaide First Bounce 1:10 pm)

Remembrance Round Video:

The Norwood Football Club will be showing a special video at quarter time of the League match which is a tribute to those people from the Norwood fraternity who have passed away.

Activations:

As this is the final home game of the 2021 Season the Norwood Football Club is planning some activations in the memorial gardens from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm.

On Saturday we will have:

  • A pop-up Merchandise Store selling all of the latest Apelle Merchandise.
  • Humphrey B Bear and Rusty Redleg will be in attendance.
  • Sausage Sizzle with drinks available.
  • Jumping Castle
  • Face Painting
  • Handball Target
  • Raffle Tickets
  • Live music for some light entertainment.

Entrances:

Gate 1 at Southern End and Gate 4 and Northern End – Queuing lanes will be implemented for all patrons lining up to enter the Stadium.

There will be two types of entrances through the Wolf Blass Community Centre. One lane will be for patrons in a corporate box/those attending the pre-match dinner, the second entrance is for those who have a matchday ticket or membership.

Ticketing & Game Day Entry

Tickets can be purchased online and at the gate.

Prices: Online: Adults $15 | Concession $9

Gate: Adults $16 | Concession $10

Patrons must socially distance themselves within the venue.

The Norwood Football Club encourages fans to bring their own seats to the game.

Merchandise:

Both the merchandise booth and shop will be open for members and supporters during the day and from 11:00am to deck themselves out in our latest Apelle range.

Food & Beverage

Food & beverage outlets will be located around the ground. Queuing lanes will be implemented for all bars and public food service areas with physical barriers and ground markings. Premiers Bar will be open to the public for drinks. No bookings are necessary.

Premiers Bar opens at 11:30 am.

  • Please be aware that both the Wolf Blass Community Centre and the Premiers Bar will be adhering to the updated COVID restrictions.
  • Due to the 1 per 2 square metre rule in place, please be patient as guest numbers in those spaces will be further reduced.
  • Please ensure all food and drinks in these venues are consumed whilst seated.
  • Food and drink can be consumed standing around the oval, however NOT in licensed venues.

Facilities

Toilets will be open at Coopers Hill, Western Grandstand and glass breezeway (Wolf Blass Community Centre) RSL Toilet Blocks at Northern End (Disabled Toilets also), Members Wing (Underground). Please ensure you observe social distancing where possible.

First Aid staff will be available for any first aid assistance.

Leaving the Venue:

Please take your time leaving the Stadium following the game to avoid congestion and to maintain social distancing.

Post-Match Presentations:

Post-match presentations will begin 40 minutes after the match. Fans are welcome to join but must be mindful of numbers allowed due to COVID in the Wolf Blass Community Centre.

Kick and a Catch:

You can have a kick and catch during the quarter and half-time breaks and after the game. Kick and Catch is only permitted in the 50m arcs at each end of the ground. Please remember to do the right thing and keep you distance from other patrons.

Footy Budget:

Footy Budgets will be available for sale in the canteens at Coopers Stadium.

COVID-19 Acknowledgement:

We ask that you adhere to social distancing of 1.5 metres, apply good hygiene protocols, listen to officials, and stay home if unwell. Please ensure you check into Coopers Stadium using the QR Code located on each of the entrances.
