Norwood Oval has locked in two AFL matches next April as part of the 2025 Gather Round Festival of Football, with the reigning premier Brisbane Lions amongst the teams heading to The Parade.
Norwood will host Western Bulldogs V Brisbane Lions on Saturday, April 12, and then St Kilda V GWS Giants on Sunday, April 13.
Three of the four clubs have previously played Gather Round matches at Norwood Oval, with the Saints playing Richmond, and Brisbane playing North Melbourne this year, and GWS playing Hawthorn in the inaugural season in 2023.
It will be the first trip to Norwood for the Bulldogs, who have played both previous Gather Rounds at Adelaide Oval.
Two-time Brownlow Medallist Lachie Neale, Bulldogs star Marcus Bontempelli, Giants skipper Toby Greene, and dual All-Australian Saint Jack Sinclair will be amongst the high calibre of players taking to Norwood Oval next April, with all teams having played AFL finals over the past two seasons.
Brisbane won the 2024 AFL Grand Final in a landslide against Sydney in September.
