Norwood is heading to Stratarama Stadium tomorrow to take on Glenelg in a SANFL Men’s Good Friday blockbuster.
The Redlegs will be hoping to return from the Bay with their first win of the 2026 campaign, following last Friday’s five-point loss at the hands of reigning premier Sturt.
Glenelg had a comfortable 47-point win against Port Adelaide in Round 1, and will be expecting a big public holiday crowd for its first home game as the club will once again be holding its “10k at the Bay” SANFL Super Match.
Norwood has made one forced change for the game, with Jackson Callow out with a hand injury he sustained in Round 1. He has been replaced by Tristan Binder at full forward, who kicked three goals in last Friday’s Reserves match.
The Redlegs have named an extended bench, which includes Oliver Sanders, Max Hodges and Daniel Gauci.
Redlegs coach Jade Sheedy was looking forward to the match-up against the Tigers – a re-match of last year’s preliminary final thriller.
“Sturt and Glenelg have been the two best sides over a period of time, and we have the challenge this week of playing Glenelg,” he said on The Redlegs Review Podcast.
“I am very confident that if we can get our game in order that it stacks up. All the players are really looking forward the game, its another opportunity to play in front of a big crowd and we’re keen to get down there and give it our best shot.”
