How [cu]health can make an impact on your wellbeing – Info evening next Thursday

Norwood Football Club has partnered with [cu]health, Australia’s first virtual healthcare practice, to offer Redlegs supporters exclusive access to a collaborative care team of psychologists, GPs, dietitians, and health coaches (registered nurses), plus personalised resources to improve your health and wellbeing.

This is an industry-first partnership that aligns with Norwood’s vision: to bring innovative solutions that support total health and wellbeing.

[cu]health Head of Client and Member Experience Tony Mann will be at the Norwood Football Club next Thursday evening, July 6 to chat with players and supporters to provide further insight into [cu]health, its services and how it can impact positively on each individual.

Tony will present at next Thursday’s Norwood Football Club Supporters Night – come along, watch training, have a drink and a meal, and learn more about how [cu]health may be of interest to you.

Register for this FREE session here. Walk ins are also available.

Norwood Football Club Supporters Nights are each Thursday night, with Happy Hour running from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and Bistro Meals available.

Norwood players have been utilising the service throughout this season, including 2022 Best & Fairest Harry Boyd.

“[cu]health is an online platform for allied health services, such as GPs, psychologists, dieticians,” he said.

“It is such a convenient and easy service to use – the accessibility is what really appealed to me.

“With football, university and work, I live a busy life and the accessibility of being able to speak to these allied health professionals without leaving the house is so helpful and saves a lot of time in waiting rooms.”

Boyd said [cu]health had opened his eyes to new allied health services that he wouldn’t have otherwise seeked out.

“I started seeing a psychologist at the start of the year, it has been great for my mental health,” he said.

“I didn’t think I necessarily had anything wrong, but I know that other professional athletes and clubs get great benefit out of psychologist appointments, and it has been great for me.

“I have seen [cu]health GPs with other matters, which has been really accessible.”

Boyd was interested in the service straight away, and encouraged Norwood supporters and members to head along to the club on Thursday, July 6 to learn more.

“As soon as I heard [cu]health was a partner of the Norwood Football Club I started to learn more about it and knew it would be something I would utilise,” he said.

“It was easy to set up (on my phone) and from there booking a session is a 30-second process. Even having the sessions, I could be having lunch one minute before an appointment and then flip open my laptop and I’m there in the session.

“Our club is making sure that the supporter and member experiences stretches further than the ground, and [cu]health is another example of that.”

Norwood Football Club Commercial Operations Manager Dale Fleming said this was an exciting initiative for both the club and [cu]health.

“The partnership with [cu]health is another exciting innovation for the Norwood Football Club and our members,” he said.

“I have personally been using the [cu]health online platform for the last few months and can’t speak highly enough of its benefits.

“Having access to a trained professional nutritionist and health coach has been a gamechanger for me, helping me eat healthier and feel so much more energetic.

“I can’t wait for our members to feel the same benefit from all of the [cu]health services and professionals offered through Redlegs Health and Wellbeing.”
