NORWOOD has several players pushing for selection for Saturday afternoon’s game against Centrals including a key defender returning from injury.
With no injuries reported out of last week’s win over Woodville West Torrens, selectors could opt to go in unchanged against the Dogs.
Full back Michael Talia looks to have recovered from a hamstring strain sustained after Norwood’s Round 8 clash against Glenelg. With minimal game time played so far in season 2020 the selectors may like to see the big defender prove his fitness at Reserve level before being considered for league duties.
Cody Szust and Luke Surman each performed very strongly in the Reserves last Friday night and could potentially come in and play a role.
Both Szust and Surman were regulars in the League squad earlier in the season and will be hoping they have done enough to impress the coaches over the last couple of weeks.
Consistent midfielder Jed Spence was again impressive last weekend in Norwood’s engine room, while defender Jack Heard and the speedy defender Brodie Carroll would also come under consideration.
Norwood will on Thursday evening name its side to tackle the Dogs, with the first bounce at X-Convenience Oval at 2:10pm on Saturday.
