NORWOOD will be sweating on the fitness of Dual Magarey Medallist Mitch Grigg ahead of their trip to Alberton on Sunday afternoon.
Grigg experienced a back injury in the thrilling win over the Panthers and will need to prove his fitness at training this week to resume his spot in the side.
Inspirational Captain Jace Bode has been ruled out after limping off with an ankle injury midway through the first term, while Ed Smart won’t feature either against the Magpies after injuring his hamstring.
In better news, Norwood is likely to get back speedy midfielder Matt Nunn for Sunday’s clash. Nunn hasn’t featured since Round Six after sustaining a hip injury.
Nunn’s inclusion will assist the Redlegs midfield stocks as Matthew Panos and Will Abbott are still recovering from their respective injuries.
After being ruled out late against the Panthers, midfielder Zac Richards also looks likely to return however will need to get through training this week in order to feature.
After the Reserves recorded back to back wins on Monday there are a couple of players who have mounted a case for selection.
Corey Grove was impressive forward booting four goals in the win over the Panthers, while Chris Olsson could also come in to add some speed to the line-up.
Up and coming ruckman Henry Crauford was also important collecting 15 disposals to go with 30 hit-outs and a goal.
The Redlegs now turn their attention to Sunday afternoon when they face Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval from 2:40 pm.
