NORWOOD could welcome back an experienced trio for Saturday’s Semi-Final against South Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
After a tough hard-fought loss against Woodville West-Torrens by eight-points on Saturday, Senior Coach Jade Rawlings could have some selection headaches after no injuries to report from the weekend.
Defender Michael Talia who injured his hamstring following Norwood’s Round 16 loss against Glenelg, will be listed a test as he hopes to put his hand up for selection on Thursday. Talia will need to get through Norwood’s main training session on Wednesday and if successful will be in calculation to return.
Smooth mover Brad McKenzie will also be listed as a test after missing the past two games with hamstring tightness. The 27-year-old booming kick will again need to get through training on Wednesday to press his case for selection this coming Saturday.
Gun forward Paul Puopolo is also another potential in for Jade Rawlings after making good progress from a PCL injury sustained in August. Puopolo was almost a chance for selection last weekend, however with the expert advice from the medical team was given an extra week to prove his fitness. Again, a similar scenario as the players above, he will need to get through training on Wednesday night to put himself in the selection frame.
Tom Wagner (Cork) and Brodie Carroll (Hamstring) are also listed as tests as they overcome their respective injuries.
In better news, Captain Matthew Nunn (hamstring) and Isaac Saywell (foot), pulled up well from the game and will again be right to go this week.
The Redlegs face South Adelaide in the 1st Semi-Final at Adelaide Oval on Saturday the 18th of September from 3:15pm.
