NORWOOD Captain Matthew Nunn is expected to return for Sunday’s crucial clash with League leaders Glenelg at Coopers Stadium.
Nunn has missed the past two weeks with a hamstring injury, however, appears right to go for Norwood’s Round 9 encounter with Glenelg.
Along with Nunn, experienced defender Mitch Wilkins is also set to return after missing the past fortnight with a back injury.
Wilkins’ return is a timely one for Norwood as they face a dangerous and experienced Glenelg forward line.
2020 Reserves Best and Fairest Sam Morris is also in line for a return after overcoming an ankle injury sustained in the Reserves Round 7 victory over North Adelaide. Morris will need to train fully this week to be considered for selection this weekend.
Reserve’s duo Jonty Patrick and Mitch Carroll could also return this weekend after overcoming respective toe and abdominal injuries.
Defender, Nick Pedro suffered another concussion at the weekend in the Reserves and will follow the AFL’s concussion protocols, including a mandatory minimum 12-day recovery period.
Midfielder Sam Buckham is listed as a 2–3-week proposition after suffering knee and foot injuries.
Norwood will be without defender Daniel Fairbrother for the next month after he dislocated in shoulder in the opening two minutes of Saturdays clash with the Eagles. His expected return in Round 13 when Norwood face Sturt in Indigenous Round.
Norwood faces Glenelg in Round nine of the SANFL Statewide Super League this Sunday at Coopers Stadium.
