Injury Update – Round 9

NORWOOD Captain Matthew Nunn is a chance to return for Saturday’s clash with top of the table North Adelaide at Prospect Oval.

The dangerous midfielder was a late withdrawal last Friday against the Adelaide Crows and is poised to return pending training this week.

The same goes for key defender Thomas Donelly, who in a similar scenario as Nunn missed last Friday’s six-point thriller against Adelaide.

Duo Michael Cavallaro (knee) and Mac Bower (illness) are both listed as tests for Saturday’s game. Cavallaro, who made his debut against Centrals in Round seven injured his knee at training last Tuesday, while Bower was ruled out due to illness.

In better news for Norwood, on-baller Jed Spence could return to the field as early as this Saturday. Spence missed the second half of last year with a knee injury and then suffered a setback in January. The 2019 Reserves Magarey Medal winner has been diligent in his recovery and is a chance to play this week.

Unfortunately, defender Lochie Charlton suffered a foot injury early in the first term against Adelaide and is listed as TBC. Forward Cam Taheny who injured his hamstring against Centrals a fortnight ago is in a similar scenario listed as TBC.

Youngsters Ethan Warburton and Jayden Gale who both suffered respective shoulder and kidney injuries have been ruled out for the remainder of the season. The club will support them throughout their recovery as we look forward to seeing the pair return in 2023.
