Injury Update – Trio of Legs set to return

THE Redlegs are set to welcome back Captain Matthew Nunn for Friday night’s Indigenous Round clash with Sturt at Coopers Stadium.

Nunn was named to face the Dogs before being a late withdrawal and replaced by Cole Gerloff in the starting 22.

“He was really close to playing against Central District, we gave him up until the very last minute,” Rob Harding said.

“Unfortunately, he didn’t come up for the game, but we are really confident that he will be available against Sturt.”

The Legs are also likely to regain defender Jacob Collins and forward Finn Heard who are both listed as tests after the pair were ruled out last weekend due to concussion protocols.

Ruckman Michael Knoll is expected to return in Round 15 as he slowly recovers from a knee injury sustained against the Eagles. Knoll will gradually increase his training loads over the next few weeks.

Brad Ficken will re-join main training this week and will build over the next couple of weeks as he also looks to return in Round 15.

Fellow Defender Daniel Fairbrother has started running again and will join training in the coming weeks. The reliable defender is hopeful of a return in Round 15.

Impressive youngster Nick Pedro is listed as a TBC at this stage as he continues to recover from concussion symptoms. The defender is slowly being reintroduced to training as he recovers.

Matthew Panos (knee), Ned Carey (knee) and Henry Crauford (back) continue to build their training loads as they look to return from their respective injuries.

The Redlegs face Sturt on Friday the 2nd of July in SANFL Indigenous Round beginning at 7:40pm.
