NORWOOD has fallen to League leaders North Adelaide by 43-points at Prospect Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Despite kicking the first goal of the game through Croatian import Ana Barisic, the Legs were dealt a blow nine minutes into the first term when star midfielder Monique Hollick went down with a broken collarbone.
With one down on the bench the Legs trailed by just two-points at quarter time.
The second term started in a fierce manner, however, the Roosters started to get the game played on their terms.
Two minutes into the second term North Adelaide made the perfect start through Hannah Ewings as she snapped truly on her right before kicking her second two minutes later to extend North margin to 14-points.
With all to play for in the second half, the Roosters looked the more dominant of the two sides as they were able to move the ball quickly to generate several inside 50 entries.
Adelaide Crow Anne Hatchard was instrumental for North Adelaide early in the third as she drove the ball inside 50 to allow Lauren Daniel to boot the first of the third term.
The Roosters kicked another in the Premiership quarter to make the task even harder for the Redlegs heading into the final stanza.
Despite Captain Ali Ferrall kicking a contender for goal of the day from a tough angle in the forward pocket, it was all but cancellation as the Legs were not able to overcome a tough Roosters on their home deck.
The loss sees Norwood still in finals contention in fourth place with a date against the Double Blues next Sunday at Peter Motley Oval.
