Match Report – Roosters run riot over Legs

NORWOOD has suffered its first loss of 2021, falling to a rampant North Adelaide outfit by 92-points on Friday night.

The Redlegs were comprehensively beaten in all facets of the game which saw only two goals scored for the entirety of the match.

Only trailing by two goals at quarter time, the Roosters did the damage in the second term, piling on six goals to zero. Norwood had no answers for the rampant Roosters who were strong defensively and ruthless up forward.

The third term saw Norwood stem the flow as they kicked their second courtesy of Declan Hamilton who was one of Norwood’s best on the night. The Roosters led the inside 50 count by 15 (37-52) and clearances by 20 (23-43) with Norwood simply not able to win the ball from the contest.

The final term was much of the same as North kicked another five majors to win their first game at The Parade since 2009.

Nick Pedro led the disposals for the hosts with 23, while Brad McKenzie finished the match with 20.

The Redlegs now shift their attention to Friday night when they face the Bloods at City Mazda Stadium in Anzac Round.
