McMahon dealt injury blow

Lady Legs co-captain Rebekka McMahon sustained a fractured leg during Friday night’s Round one match against North Adelaide.

McMahon underwent surgery on Saturday afternoon and will start her recovery straight after.

“For Bek to suffer an injury like this is incredibly disappointing for both her and our footy club,” said Football Operations Manager Mark Ross.

“Bek had surgery over the weekend and as a result will miss the remaining 2019 season.

“However, Bek is a very resilient woman and we have no doubt that she will tackle her rehab with the same professionalism and diligence with which she approaches her training and games.”
