NFC celebrates 146-year birthday

On February 28, 1878 Norwood Football Club inaugurated in a meeting held at Norfolk Arms Hotel in Rundle Street. The Club founders were AJ Diamond, JR Osborn and HC Burnett, and the Club Patron Edwin T Smith.

The club won the premiership in its first season, with nine wins and four draws. This photo above was taken ahead of the 1879 season, and includes Diamond (front right), Burnett (front second from right) and Osborn (back seven from left).
