A stoppage in Norwood’s forward 50 allowed Monique Hollick to crumb and snap on her right, to give Norwood an 11-point lead midway through the first term.

The second term started in similar fashion as the first ended. After a cagey opening couple of minutes Hannah Dunn marked strongly from 30 metres on a slight angle to kick her first of the match extending the lead to 19 points.

After a kick from Hollick which was directed towards the face of the goal, Ferrall was awarded a freekick from 20 metres. Ferrall kicked truly to extend the margin to 26.

The Lady Legs continued to dominate the term with their ability to spread from contest and take contested marks.

After Canberra recruit Najwa Allen sent a ball in with pace, Jo Hill marked strongly and played on giving Norwood a 34-point at the main break.

With Norwood controlling majority of the play, the Lady Legs came out with more to give in the third term.

After some great run and carry from Matilda Zander, she found Ferrall who marked from 25 metres out. Ferrall converted for her third of the contest to extend the margin to 41.

The Lady Legs’ hunger to win the contested ball and spread quickly from contest allowed several inside 50 entries to generate scores.

After a knock-on from Hollick, it spilled into the path of Zander who made no mistake on the run to bring the Norwood crowd into life.

Norwood went into the final change 47 points up.

West Adelaide in the early stages of the final term started to move the ball a lot better, however weren’t able to match Norwood’s pace at ground level.

In the final minutes former Crow Sophie Armitstead found space inside 50 to wheel around on her right to put the result beyond doubt.

Rosette Zerella put some icing on the cake with virtually the last kick of the match with the Lady Legs running out 63-point winners.
