The Lady Legs will head into Friday’s Semi Final full of confidence after defeating Centrals convincingly on Saturday afternoon by 68-points.

Najwa Allen took another step towards winning the SANFL Women’s medal as this season’s fairest-and-most-brilliant player after another dominant display in the midfield.

The Canberra recruit collected a game high 29 disposals to go with her nine marks and five clearances. Ruck star Leah Cutting showed her enormous influence with imposing stats of 15 possessions, 12 tackles, 32 hit-outs and two goals. Hannah Dunn, also in her first year from the ACT, also had plenty of the ball, while Sophie Armitstead, Monique Hollick and Sally Riley add to the depth of class at a club aiming to repeat its 2017 premiership success.

Former Basketball star Jo Hill was at her dominant best also, booting four majors for the day. The Lady Legs booted the first four goals of the match courtesy of Hill and Cutting giving Norwood a handy 24-point lead at the main break.

Norwood’s ball movement and hunger at the contest was on display with the Lady Legs booting three goals in the second term to extend the lead to 44-points, whilst not allowing the Dogs to register a score to halftime.

The Legs however were outscored in the third term two goals to one yet continued to apply pressure around the contest to gain many inside 50 entries.

Norwood piled on another four goals in the final term to sure up top spot and host the first semi-final on Friday night.

The Legs now face reigning Premiers South Adelaide, which will prove to be another mouthwatering contest for the neutral.
