Established in 1878, the Norwood Football Club is one of the oldest, truly loved and respected football clubs in South Australia, holding a distinctive position on South Australia’s sporting stage.  With one of the largest membership bases in the SANFL and one of the most iconic suburban venues in Australia, the Club has a rich history of success with 31 SANFL Premierships and one SANFLW Premiership.  This inclusive, progressive and community focused organisation strives to build on its previous success with a vision of future growth on both a local and national scale.

After many years of dedicated service to the Club, James Fantasia will relinquish his position of CEO in 2025, creating a unique opportunity for an accomplished executive to build on his legacy and lead the organisation through its next exciting phase.

Reporting to the Board and leading teams of corporate and football operations professionals, the CEO provides the overall strategic and operational leadership for the Club.  Key areas of responsibility include ensuring the financial viability of the entities; managing the human and physical resources; guiding the marketing, branding and promotional activities of the Club; extensive relationship management with media, sponsors, industry representatives and other key stakeholders and proactively identifying and developing business growth opportunities.  Leading, motivating and developing the dedicated Staff while promoting a strong culture of service delivery are crucial across all areas of this role.
