Norwood Football Club Senior Coach Update

Dear Norwood Football Club members and supporters,

Firstly, we would like to again congratulate Twig Rawlings on accepting his Assistant Coaching role at Fremantle. We thank Twig for his four years of service to our club, and wish him all the best on his return to the AFL. We know that he will do an exceptional job with Fremantle, back in the AFL system. He officially concludes his time at Norwood and takes up his post in Western Australia this weekend.

We would also like to thank the playing group for their feedback and support of the club. We are in a very good place with our current playing list, and are excited by the prospect of the 2025 season, led by a new Senior Coach.

I thought it was an important moment to give our supporters and members an update on the process. We are now well down the path of planning our pre-season and how that will look, with players returning on November 25. It’s full steam ahead. It is great to see so many of our players in the gym and hitting the pavement to maintain their fitness throughout the off-season.

We have advertised for a new Senior Coach nationally and are thrilled with the calibre of applicants that have expressed interest in the role. By the end of this week, we will have finalised our shortlist that will undergo a thorough process with the Selection Panel to secure the next Senior Coach of Norwood.

We look forward to announcing the new Coach as soon as possible; rest assured the Selection Panel is doing everything in their power to ensure the right person is appointed.

Regards,

Paul Di Iulio

Norwood Football Club President.
