NORWOOD has won its sixth consecutive game in a row after a rousing 31-point win against North Adelaide at The Parade on Friday night.
Fresh off the bye last weekend, the Redlegs started the match with a point to prove as they booted the first two major’s courtesy of Jessica Macolino and Erika Sporn.
Their pressure and ability to spread from the contest was highlighted as they led North Adelaide in most facets of the game leading up to the quarter time break.
The second quarter saw North register their first goal of the game through Kathryn Reynolds, however, Norwood steadied as forward Rosetta Zerella kicked her first of the match in the dying stages of the second term.
After the break, it was all Norwood as they continued to work hard to create chances going inside 50. Zerella kicked her second goal in the fourth minute before Sachi Syme kicked her first two minutes after.
Norwood’s style of play was breathtaking as they limited their opposition to only one goal in three quarters.
The Redlegs played out the match with a real purpose as Vice-Captain Elisha Gallagher sealed the points early in the last, as Norwood ran out 31-point winners with a five-point lead on top of the ladder.
Round 5 Powerade Breakthrough Player Emma Clark racked up 19 disposals, four tackles and three clearances while Sachi Syme collected 17 possessions while being one of five goal scorers for the hosts.
