The Norwood Football Club is excited to announce the signing of Daniel Gauci and Jack Hodges for the 2025 season.
Gauci has relocated to Norwood from Sydney, where he was a part of the GWS Giants Academy.
The 19-year-old midfielder played Coates Talent League and VFL for the Giants and AFL Sydney Premier Division for the East Coast Eagles Football Club in 2024.
“It’s great that Daniel has decided to further his footy at the highest level he can here in the SANFL,” Norwood General Manager of Football Richard Kelly said.
“He has presented himself really well and integrated with the group, and his form on the track has been impressive.”
Jack Hodges is the brother of current Norwood-listed forward Max Hodges, who played in the club’s Reserves Premiership in 2024.
A 194cm forward, Jack is a former North Adelaide player, playing U18s with the Roosters in 2021 and 2022, before suiting up in 13 Reserves matches in 2023.
Last season he played for Payneham Norwood Union in the Adelaide Football League’s Division 1 competition, where he kicked 27 goals from his 21 matches.
“We are pleased that Jack’s keen to give SANFL football another crack, he’s a good forward and has shown that at Reserves and Div 1 level over the last couple of seasons,” Kelly said.
“He’s fitted into the group and forward-line mix really well thus far.”
Gauci and Hodges add to a list of several player signings announced this week, including Jack Aherne, Mitch Nicholas, Khalen Matthews, Connor Ling and Liam Ling.
