Born on the 10th July 1970, Justin Paul Staritski was a hard-working midfielder who first played for the Norwood under 17s in 1986-1987 before progressing to the reserves (eight games) in 1988. Educated at Pembroke School, Staritski was also a very talented junior tennis player, but ultimately decided to play a team sport.
“Bart” as he was known, made his league debut against West Adelaide in round five 1988. He was named on the interchange bench, kicked a goal and Norwood won the game comfortably 24.13 to 15.15. He played 13 games in his first season of league football.
