Past Player of the Week – Lachlan Bowman

From Orroroo, Lachlan “Wizard/Lachy” Bowman played in Norwood Under 17 and Under 19 premiership teams, before making his league debut in 1991.

Early in the following season however, he was told by the league coach he wasn’t a required player and returned home to the farm. After playing out the season with the Orroroo Football Club he arrived back at The Parade in 1993, desperate to have another go at league football. Bowman was a more confident player, with strong marking and determination a feature of his game. Despite struggling to cement his spot in the league side, Bowman played in his first senior Grand Final – against Woodville-West Torrens.
