Past Player of the Week – Laurie Eaton

Laurie Eaton played First 18 for Rostrevor College in 1937, and  Junior Colts for the Norwood Football Club in 1938. He progressed to the Senior Colts in 1939 and impressed as a ruckman.

In 1940, Eaton captained the Senior Colts. He was listed as one of the best players in Norwood’s preliminary final victory against North Adelaide. The side went on to win the premiership, defeating West Torrens in the Grand Final: 7.1 to 6.6.
