Past Player of the Week – Stephen Richardson

Originally from the Swan Districts juniors (WA Football League), Stephen Richardson joined the Army, and played in NSW and Queensland, before transferring to Victoria. He played one VFL game for Essendon in 1983.

After leaving the Army he returned to Swan Districts in 1984 and made 66 appearances over three seasons. He had been a key member in the 1984 Grand Final win, and in 1985 played interstate football for W.A. against S.A. on the Subiaco Oval.
