Pinyon to depart Norwood

THE Norwood Football Club would like to advise it’s members and supporters that forward Tom Pinyon has indicated he will not be playing on with the club in 2021.

Pinyon, who played all 14 games in 2020, won the leading goalkicker award in his first season booting 26 goals.

The 28-year old was a valuable addition to the side, with his elite kicking a real strength in the Norwood attack.

Ultimately, Pinyon leaves the Parade to focus on family and work commitments.

Pinyon thanked Norwood for giving him the opportunity to play League football in 2020.

“It was an honour to don the red and blue in 2020,” said Pinyon.

“Although we weren’t able to achieve the ultimate goal, I really enjoyed my time and thank everyone involved for being so welcoming to me.

“Again, I thank the club and wish them well for the future.”

The Norwood Football Club can also confirm that Reserves Coach Gavin Hughes has departed the club.

Hughes will join the Sturt Football Club as a League Assistant.

We thank Gavin for his service to the Norwood Football Club and wish him and his family all the best for the future.
