NORWOOD duo Rebekka McMahon and Kate Fenton will retire from SANFLW football effective immediately.
McMahon, who led the club as Captain in Norwood’s first three years has battled injury in the past two seasons restricting her to just three games.
The 33-year-old is Norwood’s first Women’s Captain, as she led the Redlegs to silverware in the competitions first season in 2017.
A natural leader, McMahon will be fondly remembered for her toughness and ability to get the best out of herself and her teammates.
Kate Fenton joined the Norwood Football Club ahead of the 2018 SANFLW Season.
Despite falling in the 2018 Premiership decider against the Panthers, ‘Woody’ gave her all, playing some of her best football across half-forward.
The 37-year-old finishes up playing 32 matches kicking a total of 14 goals.
The Redlegs would like to congratulate both women on their fantastic careers and wish them all the best for the future.
