Norwood’s annual online fundraiser is back again, with over 30 items up for grabs.
Auction items will include the usual Footy Memorabilia and Inner Sanctum experiences, Local Travel and Tourism packages as well as a whole host of fantastic products from many of our great sponsors.
Funds raised will be used to strengthen the club you love in a variety of areas and assist us on the journey to achieving our goal of winning our next SANFL premierships. A portion of the funds raised this year will also be donated to the Agius family after the tragic loss of past player Kieran.
Norwood FC Captain Jace Bode has also donated his 2019 Norwood FC Indigenous Guernsey signed by the team. The jumper will be part of the auction in which full proceeds raised will be given to the Agius family.
Captain Jace Bode said himself and Anthony Wilson wanted to do something more for the family other than just pass on the guernsey.
Bode suggested to get the jumper framed and signed and to put it up for auction in which the proceeds go to the Agius family.
Bode said the whole of the Norwood Football Club was saddened once they heard of the news and said Kieran was a such a loved figure within the Redlegs playing group.
“Kieran was a much-loved figure at our football club in the short time he played for us,” Bode said.
“He was very talented, engaged in the playing group and we were all truly saddened when we found out the news.”
“Straight away you get a great perspective of life when something like this happens, it makes you appreciate what you have and I’m sure the boys will be doing everything in their power to honour him in the best way by winning this weekend.”
The auction will is now live and will run for one week, concluding on Friday 13th of September at 3pm.
