Norwood teenager Max Michalanney was drafted to the Adelaide Football Club with the 17th Pick in the 2022 National Draft last night.
Michalanney – son of four-time Premiership Redleg Jim Michalanney – has become Adelaide’s first ever father-son selection in a National Draft after officially joining the Crows.
The Sydney Swans originally placed a bid on Michalanney with their first pick in the Draft, before the Crows matched the selection to take the 191cm defender.
He was this year named in the U18 All-Australian Team, and made his League Debut with Norwood in Round 9 in the 2022 Season.
The National Draft continues tonight with Norwood’s Baynen Lowe and Phoenix Foster hoping to hear their names called out.
