Remember Norwood’s 13-goal final quarter at Unley Oval?

Round 9, 2024 will be the 100th meeting Norwood and Sturt have had at Unley Oval since 1901. 

In their 99 previous meetings, Norwood have won 49, Sturt 50.

The most outstanding highlight was Norwood’s incredible final quarter in 2018 when trailing by four goals at three quarter time, before kicking an incredible 13.1-79 to 0.1-1 to run out winners by 54 points.

Matt Panos, was called “Mr Final Quarter” by commentators on this day as he booted three last quarter goals, while Declan Hamilton kicked four for the day.

This was the second highest quarter in Norwood’s history, the highest being 13.6-84 in second quarter against Woodville at Norwood Oval in 1990.

Norwood plays Sturt at Unley Oval this Monday in a King’s Birthday Triple Header.
