Round 11 Teams

Norwood will do battle with arch rivals Port Adelaide at Coopers Stadium on Sunday in a massive weekend for the club.

Norwood celebrates its 1984 40-year and 2014 10-year reunions over the next few days, leading up to the Sunday game where the Premiership Players will be presented on field pre-game.

The Round 11 game will also decide the Gallagher-Williams Cup, which is a series played between Norwood and Port Adelaide over the course of a SANFL season.

The Redlegs won the Round 4 contest at Alberton Oval by 18 points, and is therefore in the box seat to retain the trophy. Port Adelaide would need to win by 19 points or more to take the cup with them back to Alberton.

Norwood welcomes back a spate of players from injury this weekend.

Billy Cootee will play his first SANFL game since Round 7 and slots straight back in the midfield, while Xavier Tranfa, Jordon Boyle and Zach Morris return to an extended League side.

Henry Nelligan will miss through an ankle injury.

Sam Morris will play his 50th SANFL game.

In the Reserves, Cameron Taheny will play his first game since Round 7 last season when he tore his ACL.

Oliver Sanders is another player that returns through the Reserves this week following an ankle injury that has plagued his 2024 season.

The Redlegs will be without Reserves leading goal kicker Liam Robinson who will miss with an ankle injury.

Norwood’s Reserves take on Glenelg at Coopers Stadium on Sunday, from 11:20am.
