Norwood take on Adelaide at Coopers Stadium this Saturday in what will be the Redlegs final match of the SANFL Season… but the day means much more than that.
Round 18 (Saturday, August 26) is a big day on the Football Club’s calendar this year, as Norwood celebrates Eyre Peninsula Round and hosts the annual Remembrance Round and Fortis Match.
Norwood’s League side will play the Crows at home from 2:10pm, while the Reserves side are travelling to Elizabeth to face Central District (11:30am start) with a spot in the Finals on the line.
The SANFL Inclusive League Grand Final between Athelstone and Kenilworth will follow the League match at Coopers Stadium.

During the last home match of the 2023 season, Norwood will take the opportunity to celebrate the Eyre Peninsula, the club’s Regional Zone. Look out for fresh oysters, seafood, and other EP-related products across Coopers Stadium for all to enjoy.
The Eyre Peninsula is renowned for its oysters and seafood, spectacular coastline, and fantastic marine and ocean experiences. Come along to our last home game on Saturday, August 26 and enjoy a taste of the EP and cheer on the team in style!
The club is hosting a Pre-Match ‘Long Table’ Lunch – Eyre Peninsula Celebration on Saturday – this event is SOLD OUT. However, there will be fresh food from the Eyre Peninsula on offer around the ground.
The Norwood Football Club will celebrate Remembrance Round in its final home game of the season, Saturday August 26.
Remembrance Round presents an opportunity to share and celebrate those who have been previous members of the Norwood Football Club over the years that have passed.
The names and photographs (supplied by the families) will be put up on our super screen pre game and during half time to give every Norwood member a chance to recognize and share the memory of our past Norwood family members.
Please note, if you sent in a photo last year, it will be used again in this years video package. We will continue to remember them.
Fortis in Procella!
On the back of the successful Fortis Army match in 2021 and 2022, the Club has decided to make the last home game every year feature a supporter match and guard for the team as they run out.
This match will now be known as the Fortis Army. The feedback from the players who ran through the Fortis Army guard was that it was an amazing and motivating feeling to experience. All in attendance for the first march in 2021, including the coaches, players and supporters felt it was one of the proudest and best Norwood days to be part of.
With such compelling feedback, the congregation onto the ground to form a guard will now become a regular event – we will be welcoming all supporters to participate. Make sure to wear your Norwood Red and Blue out onto the ground to form a guard for the players to run through.
