Norwood travels to Woodville’s Maughan Thiem Kia Oval on Saturday to take on Woodville-West Torrens in the final home and away match of the 2024 SANFL season.

The Redlegs will be without Declan Hamilton who was injured in last Friday night’s Round 18 game against North Adelaide and Jackson Callow who injured his knee at training during the week.

The club is hopeful the pair will return for the first week of finals.

Jayden Gale, Tom Graham, Goy Lok, Isaac Saywell and Alex van Wyk have been introduced into an extended 25-man squad.

van Wyk – who has been named Norwood’s best on ground in the Reserves for the past two weeks – will make a League debut if selected on Saturday.

Norwood has won seven of its past eight matches and another victory on Saturday will likely secure the minor premiership, and the Bye in the first week of finals.

Sturt continues to clip at the heels of the Redlegs, having won 12 straight matches to sit just 0.2% behind Norwood in second place. Both Norwood and Sturt have a 14-3 win-loss record, each locking in a top two spot with one round to play.

The Redlegs opponent, the Eagles will be desperate for a Round 19 win to ensure their place in the 2024 finals series.

Woodville-West Torrens were outstanding early in the season, winning seven of its first 10 games, before losing six on the trot ahead of last weekend’s win over South Adelaide.

The Eagles defeated Norwood earlier in the season, claiming a 39-point win at Coopers Stadium to continue a strong run of form against Norwood. Woodville-West Torrens have won 10 of their last 12 matches against Norwood.

The Double Blues take on another finals aspirant Adelaide at Unley Oval on Saturday, with three sides still in the hunt for fifth spot – Eagles, Crows and Roosters.

Jack Saunders and Luke Surman return from injury through the Reserves this Saturday.

Norwood’s Reserves have already locked in the minor premiership, and take on the fifth placed Eagles who have also confirmed a place in the Elimination Final.
