Norwood Football Club’s SANFLW teams will take on Sturt at Coopers Stadium this Saturday in a Round 5 match-up.
The teams will play in the Ellen Maple Memorial Match, in tribute to Ellen who played for both Norwood and Sturt before she was tragically killed in a car accident in 2018.
The SANFLW game will get underway at 1pm, with the Development League match taking place from 11am.
The Redlegs will be hoping to follow on from last Friday night’s dominant 31-point win over the Eagles, their first victory of the season.
Norwood sit in seventh place, and Sturt sixth, meaning this is an important clash as we draw closer to the middle stage of the season.
The Redlegs welcomed back Port Adelaide AFL-listed players Ebony O’Dea, Sachi Syme and Hannah Dunn last week, each having an influence on the win.
O’Dea was particularly dominant, gathering 27 disposals, nine clearances, eight tackles and kicking a goal.
Syme and O’Dea remain in the team, while Dunn is out. She has been replaced by off-season recruit Tahlita Buethke.
Norwood’s Development League team sits on top of the ladder in a thus-far undefeated season.
They took on Eagles last week in a top of the table clash, and will again have another challenge this weekend against the third-placed Sturt.
