Norwood will take on Adelaide at Coopers Stadium this Friday night, with the Redlegs gunning for their sixth straight win to commence the 2024 season.
Norwood has added Matthew Ling and Jackson Callow to the squad, who both missed Round 5 through injury, while Ben Simpson has also been named on an extended bench after 28 disposals in the Reserves last Saturday.
Captain Jacob Kennerley, who was a late out from Round 5, will again miss with a leg injury.
The home side heads into the Round 6 clash second on the SANFL ladder behind the also undefeated Central District, and are coming off an eight-point win over North Adelaide at Prospect Oval last week.
Adelaide is currently seventh on the ladder with a 2-3 record, but enjoyed a quality 16.7-103 to 6.14-62 victory over Port Adelaide in the SANFL Showdown last Thursday.
Crows forwards Lachie Gollant kicked five goals and Chris Burgess three in the SANFL Showdown, while Harry Schoenberg and Billy Dowling will be ones to watch in the midfield with Schoenberg having 27 disposals, and Dowling 25, along with eight clearances and seven tackles.
Dowling is amongst the top ball winners in the competition to date, averaging 25.6 disposals per game.
Norwood remains the best defensive team in the competition, averaging 47.2 points against per game. The Crows average 88 points against.
The Redlegs Reserves are are also unbeaten in 2024, and take on North Adelaide again this Friday evening.
Liam Robinson and Tristan Binder have been a dominant duo in Norwood’s forward line, with Robinson leading (equal) the League’s goal kicking tally with 15 (including 12 from his last three games). Binder has 11 for the season and third on the goal kicking table.
