Norwood will be aiming for back to back victories for the first time in 2025 when it travels to Elizabeth’s X Convenience Oval on Saturday to take on the fourth placed Central District.

The Redlegs have managed to bridge the gap between themselves and the top five with four wins from their last seven matches, but Norwood is yet to turn its good form into consecutive wins.

It won’t be an easy task against the 8-4 Bulldogs at home, who have themselves won back to back games following three successive losses. Centrals have won four of their six home matches in season 2025, only going down to top side Sturt and the third placed Adelaide on their home deck.

Norwood, however, have been strong on the road this season, with three of its four victories coming away from home.

Last week, the Redlegs defeated Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval in their best win of the 2025 campaign, outlasting the Magpies 15.3-93 to 12.4-76 in a game that had 10 lead changes.

The win was paramount, and helped the Redlegs jump from eighth to sixth on the SANFL ladder and keep themselves in the hunt.

The next two weeks loom large, as Norwood takes on the fourth placed Bulldogs, followed by the fifth placed Eagles at The Parade.

After a tumultuous opening to the season, Norwood’s had the chance to bring a settled line up into its last five matches.

The Redlegs look likely to go into this Saturday unchanged, with Max Hodges, Liam Ling and Ben Simpson being named on an extended bench.

Izaak Twelftree – who was a late out in Round 12 with groin soreness – will miss again in Round 13. Jayden Gale replaced Twelftree for the win over the Magpies.

Josh Gillow, Dom White and Jack Saunders return from injury through the Reserves, while 202cm ruck Indhi Kotzur will play his second game for the Reserves this weekend after signing from the Wodonga Raiders ahead of the June 30 clearance deadline.
