Norwood will host reigning premiers Glenelg in a big Round 2 SANFL match at Coopers Stadium on Friday night.
Both Norwood and Glenelg enjoyed Round 1 wins, before the bye last week for AFL Gather Round.
The Redlegs defeated Grand Finalists Sturt by 27 points, 11.11-77 to 7.8-50 on Easter Thursday, while the Tigers enjoyed a convincing 66-point win over Port Adelaide in a high-scoring 23.12-150 to 13.6-84 win.
Glenelg forwards Lachie Hosie and Liam McBean kicked five goals apiece, while Matthew Allen had 25 disposals and kicked three goals as the Tigers ran away from the Magpies after half time.
Norwood also put in a strong second half against the Double Blues to turn a one point deficit at the main break into a 27-point win.
The Redlegs debuted seven players in Round 1, with Mitch O’Neill (23 disposals, five clearances) and Billy Cootee (22 disposals, 10 tackles, two goals) Norwood’s leading disposal winners in their first outings in the red and blue.
Harry Boyd was best on ground with 21 disposals, 31 hitouts, 14 clearances, nine tackles and a goal.
Jayden Gale, Connor McLean and Josh Gillow have been included to the side on an extended bench.
The Redlegs take on Glenelg this Friday (League 7:40pm, Reserves 5pm), before heading to Port Lincoln for their annual Eyre Peninsula match against West Adelaide on Saturday, April 20.
