Norwood travels down to Noarlunga for its Round 6 SANFL clash with South Adelaide this Sunday.
The Redlegs are buoyed with the selection of defenders Thomas Donnelly and Alec Wright, who will play their first match of the season following hip and ankle injuries respectively.
Isaac Saywell has also been selected in an extended line-up for Sunday’s match.
Norwood is searching for its first victory of the 2025 campaign, following a difficult start to the season.
The Redlegs have so far faced five of the top six sides on the ladder, Sturt, Adelaide, Woodville-West Torrens, Glenelg and North Adelaide, with strong but inconsistent performances against the Crows last week, Eagles in Round 2, and Tigers on Anzac Day.
In Round 5, Norwood hosted the Crows in Port Lincoln and the stats showed a quality performance, winning inside 50m +21 and clearances +4, but it was conversion that let the Redlegs down with a return of 8.20-68 to 14.5-89 in windy conditions.
Round 6 presents a new challenge, against the Panthers on their home deck in Noarlunga.
South Adelaide have the one victory in 2025, against West Adelaide in Round 2. Last Saturday, they went down to Centrals 13.10-88 to 5.4-34 in Elizabeth.
Sunday’s game gets underway at 2:10pm, with the Reserves from 11:30am.
