SANFL Trial Match Teams

Norwood will take on Glenelg in a trial match at Coopers Stadium on The Parade this Friday night. 

The game against the Tigers on Friday night will be the second trial match of the pre-season for the Redlegs, playing North Adelaide last week and securing a 57-point win.

There was a lot to like in Norwood’s performance last Friday night against North, which concluded 16.10-106 to 8.1-49, with Finn Heard kicking three goals in the first half, and Kade Dittmar, Aaron Francis, Josh Murphy and Matthew Harms pulling on the guernsey for the first time.

Norwood will go with a similar line up for the second trial, aside from Matthew Ling, Jayden Gale and Macro D’Annunzio who will miss through injury.

Baynen Lowe copped a knock to the knee last Friday night, but pulled up fine and will play in the second trial tomorrow night.

The Redlegs named a 27-man squad for the first trial, but 24 have been named for the second. Norwood have also named a 23-man squad for tomorrow night’s Reserves trial match.

The Reserves trial will start at 5pm, followed by the SANFL trial at 7:40pm. Both games will run with regular in-season quarter times – SANFL 20 minutes plus time-on, Reserves 26 minutes flat.
