Norwood has another chance to lock in a finals berth when it takes on Sturt in a King’s Birthday SANFLW clash at Unley Oval on Monday.
The Redlegs let slip a golden chance to qualify in the top four in Round 12 when they led in the final quarter against Woodville-West Torrens, but the Eagles came back and stole a five-point win.
The Eagles win meant the SANFLW season remained in the balance with just two minor rounds to play, while the Double Blues ensured they kept in the hunt with a win over West Adelaide.
Norwood remains in the box seat to lock in the all-important fourth spot, currently three premiership points ahead of both West Adelaide and Sturt.
Just one win from the Redlegs final two matches will seal the post season ticket.
But, it will be a tough two weeks as the Redlegs take on other finals aspirants, Sturt and West Adelaide in the final rounds of the home and away season.
To make matters more difficult, Norwood key defender Emily Bartsch is out following an injury she sustained in the Round 12 loss to the Eagles.
Tesharna Maher is also out, while Elle Lineage and Nicola Burns come back into the team.
Burns will play her 50th SANFLW match this Monday – read more here.
For the third straight week, Norwood will play a Triple Header, with the Reserves playing from 9:50am, SANFLW at 12:20pm and SANFL at 2:30pm at Unley Oval.
