Norwood midfielder Tahlita Buethke will play her 50th SANFLW game at Coopers Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Buethke – who won Norwood’s 2023 Best & Fairest Award – has split her 49 matches thus far between the Redlegs (21) and South Adelaide (28), heading to The Parade ahead of the 2023 season.
She started her SANFLW career with the Panthers in 2021.
The Redlegs take on North Adelaide at home this Saturday, and head into the Round 9 clash with a 4-4 win-loss record to sit just outside the top four.
The Roosters sit bottom of the table with a 0-8 record thus far, but has had a good recent record against the Redlegs, winning both games last season, before Norwood had a good win in Round 4, 2024.
It’s a big game for Norwood this weekend, with a tough run following against the top of the table Glenelg, before reigning premiers Central District and the Eagles who defeated the Redlegs in Round 3.
Norwood welcome back co-captain Sophie Armitstead for her first SANFLW League game of the season. She played Development League earlier in the season in her return from a long-term knee injury.
Debutant Ailene Hiebner has also been named, while Sophie Arkun, Emma Daley and Grace Mulvahil return to the SANFLW side.
Adrienne Davies and Lauren Smith will miss with injury, while Georgina Birchall and Mykaela Walker are out under the concussion protocol. Co-captain Stephanie Simmonds will miss due to work commitments.
The Women’s match is part of a triple header at The Parade on Saturday, with the U18 and U16 Norwood V North Adelaide matches taking place prior to the SANFLW clash.
