SANFLW Trial Match & U18 Girls Teams

The Senior Women’s excruciatingly long pre-season is nearly over, with the first of two trial matches taking place this Sunday.

Norwood will play Sturt from 10am at Richmond Oval in its first trial, before an Easter Thursday trial against Glenelg in another week’s time. Norwood’s U18 Girls Round 5 game will follow the Senior Women’s trial at midday at the same venue.

The Redlegs play their first game for premiership points on Saturday, April 18 at Magain Stadium in Noarlunga, against the reigning premiers South Adelaide, their first game in nine months.

The League shuffled the start of the 2026 SANFLW season back to April, to line up better with the SANFL Men’s season, whilst introducing an U18 Girls season that commenced in February. The 2025 season commenced in mid-March.

Several new faces will run out for Norwood on Sunday, with off-season recruits Abby Klaebe, Ashley Baker and Amy Gaedtke pulling on the red and blue for the first time.
