Talented midfielder Dylan Stephens has been selected at pick number five by the Sydney Swans in the 2019 AFL National Draft last night.
The hard-running midfielder impressed the Swans recruiters after finishing as an All Australian during the State Championships amongst playing 13 games of League Football for Norwood averaging 18.1 disposals.
Stephens’ability to play as an inside or outside midfielder will excite the Swans fans in 2020.
“We’ve watched him closely for a couple of years now,” said Sydney Swans General Manager – Recruiting and List Strategy Kinnear Beatson
“He can play both inside and outside. He’s played a lot of senior footy at Norwood and played with distinction there.
“He will really add to our midfield and that was a focus with us for that selection.”
The Norwood Football Club congratulates Dylan on his draft selection and wishes him all the best in the future.
