NORWOOD is set to unveil up and coming youngster Max Michalanney for Saturday’s Round Nine clash with the top of the table Roosters at Prospect.
Max, the son of four-time Norwood Premiership hero James, will become the thirteenth debutant under Senior Coach Jade Rawlings in 2022.
A defender, Michalanney averages 14.8 disposals so far in his four games at Reserves level and will come in as another tall to assist the Redlegs backline Saturday.
Rawlings has also recalled Captain Matthew Nunn after recovering from illness last weekend, while key defender Tom Donnelly also returns to add some more depth down back.
Dangerous small forward Xavier Tranfa has been named in the squad of 25 following an impressive performance at Reserves level, while Michael Cavallaro is a chance to return after overcoming a minor injury sustained at training last week.
Key forward Tristan Binder could also come into consideration after a string of impressive performances in the Reserves.
Unfortunately, the Legs will be without Lochie Charlton who suffered an ankle injury early in last week’s game, while Pierce Seymour and Nick Lowden have both been omitted.
Norwood faces the top of the table, North Adelaide, at Prospect Oval on Saturday afternoon from 2:10pm. The match can be streamed live via SANFL Now.
