NORWOOD will unveil up to eight debutants for their clash with Glenelg on Saturday afternoon at ACH Group Stadium.
The Redlegs, who have had a busy offseason in recruiting will look to start their season off in the best way possible with a victory over the Bays this weekend.
Norwood will unveil former Cat and Norwood junior Ben Jarvis, as well as former Centrals forward Connor McLean. The two will add a different dynamic to the Norwood front third as they look to compete with the Bays strong defence.
The Legs will also unveil Tasmanian duo Baynen Lowe and key defender Thomas Donnelly, after a string of impressive performances in Norwood’s trial games thus far.
Casey Demons recruit Cory Stockdale is another who will formally make his debut for Norwood after a strong off-season, while Lochie Charlton who played at PAC last season has performed admirably throughout the pre-season and is a lock to face Glenelg.
Norwood will also unveil former Collingwood midfielder, Jay Rantall as he looks to provide some extra run throughout the middle of the ground.
Redlegs junior, Cam Taheny has also been selected in the League side after spending a couple of seasons at The Cattery. He will look to provide support in the final third and create trouble for the Bays back six.
Oscar Hodge and Thomas Graham have both been named on the extended bench for this weekend.
The Redlegs squad of 25 is set to be trimmed to 22 tomorrow afternoon.
As for the Reserves, former Eagle Pierce Seymour will play his first game for the club, along with Central’s recruit Jack Kelly who will play his first game for the football club as well.
Norwood faces the Glenelg Football Club in Round one of the 2022 SANFL Hostplus League at ACH Group Stadium from 3:10pm. The Reserves will be in action from 12:30pm.
