NORWOOD has named a strong side to face traditional rivals, Port Adelaide, at the Parade tomorrow night.
In what is Senior Coach Jade Rawlings’ first official game in charge, Norwood will head into the match with five debutants confirmed.
Ruckman Michael Knoll will lead the ruck charge in his first game in the SANFL since 2019, while junior Jacob Kennerley will play his first league game on the big stage tomorrow evening.
Rawlings has also named forward trio Tom Wagner, Jackson Callow and Harry Boyd who will all make their debut in the red and blue.
Former Hawk Paul Puopolo will also take the field in his first league game since the 2010 SANFL Grand Final. The pocket rocket will no doubt add excitement and speed to the Redlegs forward line as they look to start Round one with a win.
Matthew Nunn will play his first game as the official Captain of the Norwood Football Club, as he looks to lead the side to victory tomorrow evening.
Norwood’s clash with Port Adelaide begins at 7:40pm with the Under 16s playing in the curtain-raiser at 5:20 pm.
The Reserves will be in action on Friday morning when they face South Adelaide at Flinders University Stadium from 10:15am.
If you cannot get to the match, all games will be streamed live on the SANFL Digital Pass.
