Norwood take on West Adelaide in Round 2 of the SANFLW season in what will be the Redlegs 100th game in the Women’s competition.
The clash with the Bloods will be Norwood’s first home match of the 2025 season, after last week’s road trip to Noarlunga.
The Redlegs went down by 24 points in the Round 1 clash with reigning premiers South Adelaide last Saturday, 7.11-53 to 4.5-29.
Norwood co-captain Sophie Armitstead said her side was ready to respond from last week’s loss.
“There was a lot to take away from that game, it was disappointing to lose in Round 1,” she said.
“We have looked at what went wrong and what went right and we take that into this week’s game. We’re excited for the challenge, and the 100-game milestone isn’t lost on us.”
Norwood’s Round 2 opponents, Westies, had a five-point come from behind win over North Adelaide in Round 1, kicking the last two goals of the game to pinch victory.
Norwood has made three changes for Round 2, with Charlee Brooksby coming in to make her debut, while Jazmine Egan and Charli Hazelhurst also come into the side.
Emma Daley (concussion), Coby Morgan (calf) and Georgie Jaques (concussion) come out of the team through injury.
Sarah Branford will play her 50th SANFLW match.
