Norwood Premiership Player Ben Jarvis will continue his football career in Port Lincoln.
Jarvis played 30 League games with the Redlegs in 2022 and 2023 after returning to the club following three seasons on Geelong’s AFL list.
The Port Lincoln product came through Norwood’s U18 program, as part of the club’s affiliation with the Eyre Peninsula Regional Zone.
He played one AFL game with the Cats in 2020.
Jarvis played 21 games for Norwood in 2022, including the SANFL Grand Final, where he kicked a vital final-quarter goal.
He played nine games with Norwood in 2023, but will return to his home club of Lincoln South for the 2024 season.
Norwood Football Club coach Jade Rawlings wished Jarvis and his partner Amy all the best for the future.
“Jarvo has been a really important contributor to Norwood since he came back in to 2021,” Rawlings said.
“He’s a popular and well respected member of the group.
“None of us will ever forget the goal he kicked in the last quarter of the 2022 Grand Final – he stood up when we needed him most.
“The last 12 months have presented a number of challenges for Jarvo, and it is in his best interest to step away from SANFL footy at this time – we love him and we wish him and his partner Amy all the best.
“Thanks for your contribution to our club.”
