The Norwood Football Club would like to thank Josh Richards, Cameron Ball and Lachie Pascoe for their commitment to the club, and wishes them all the best moving forward.
Ball played 66 League games for Norwood since his debut in 2019, including the 2022 Grand Final, while Richards is another 2022 Premiership Player who has suited up for the Redlegs on 55 occasions.
Richards made his debut in Round 8 of 2019, with Ball debuting in Round 14 of that same season.
Pascoe has been a great club man, playing 13 League games since stepping up from the club’s junior ranks in 2017.
Norwood coach Jade Rawlings wished Richards, Ball and Pascoe all the best for the future.
“Cameron Ball – Cam has been a highly consistent defender and very well respected player within the group,” Rawlings said.
“He would regularly take on the opposition best forward and generally get the job done. None of us will forget his goal saving effort in the goal square in the 2022 Grand Final. Cam is a terrific young man, who I have a lot of respect for and will miss him around the club.”
“Josh Richards – A very highly respected player, professional and person at Norwood.
“Josh improved his footy significantly from halfway through 2021 to the end of 2022 and established himself in the upper echelon of wingers in the competition. His ground ball and snap in the fourth quarter of the 2022 Grand final is a very special memory for all Norwood people.
“Josh and his partner Sophie have been a big part of the club, and their presence will be missed.”
“Lachie Pascoe – Lachie’s story is one of my favourites in my time the club. He had a major period of time between senior appearances, but broke back in. He had a good block of form at the back end of 2021 and was particularly good in that finals series. He has retained a great passion for the club and the game, despite various setbacks in his journey.
“Lachie leaves as a genuine Norwood person, who should be proud of his contribution to the club.”
