There will be several Norwood players who will be exciting to watch at tomorrow mornings trial game against the Adelaide Crows.
Redlegs fans will get their first opportunity to watch the side play under new coach Jade Rawlings in their only trial at the Parade before their Round 1 opener against Port Adelaide.
The squad has a blend of youth and experience with several Under 18 players getting their first opportunity of playing league football.
Amongst them, several players who have not featured regularly in the league side will also get chance to stake their claims for Round one selection with the pressure for spots ramping up.
Duo Jack Heard and Sam Barnett made their official league debut in the final game of 2020 against West Adelaide and will feature tomorrow morning as they look to impress Rawlings for the first time under match conditions. Barnett is a medium sized forward who loves the contest side of the game, while Heard is a composed defender who is a good decision maker with ball in hand.
Sydney Swans recruit Michael Knoll will play tomorrow morning as he looks to have a first competitive hit out against an opposition side. Knoll brings experience and will no doubt look to stake his claim as the number one ruckman.
Finn Heard and Xavier Tranfa are another exciting pair to watch tomorrow morning.
An inside midfielder, Tranfa thrives off the contested and physical side of the game. Likes creeping forward and getting dangerous at the crumbs of the talls as well.
Heard is an excellent mark overhead and on the lead, and will no doubt look to impress the tomorrow morning.
James Warton is another to look out for when he takes the field tomorrow morning. Warton is a true utility who can play every line on the field – even competing against talls down the spine.
Brad Ficken featured for the Reserves prominently in 2020 and will get an opportunity to play senior football tomorrow morning. Having a basketball background, Ficken was one of the biggest improvers for Norwood last season and has worked extremely hard this pre-season to become a solid performer in the Norwood line-up.
Norwood fans will also catch a glimpse of Shepparton recruit Harry Boyd. Boyd has trained immensely hard throughout the pre-season and is likely to line-up in defence tomorrow morning.
Forward duo Tristan Binder and Tom Wagner will also get an opportunity to face the Crows as well as Michael Cavallaro who will look to perform strongly in his first league appearance.
