THE Norwood Football Club is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former player Greg Parke last weekend.
Originally from Bentleigh in Victoria, he had already played for Melbourne (119 games) and Footscray (37 games) before he joined Norwood.
Greg Parke transferred to Norwood from the Victorian Football League in 1976.
Playing predominantly as a half-forward, Parke went on to play 32 games for the Redlegs kicking 18 goals.
One of his best games for the club was in a Wills Cup night match versus Carlton in 1976. He was rated best on ground, kicking five goals from centre half-forward, in Norwood’s 106 points victory.
The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the Parke family.
